HEARTSTRINGS

When I started to make this sculpture, my original plan was to form a heart and then let it shatter into pieces to create something new with it. But as soon as a finished the heart I couldn’t bring myself to destroy the sculpture. So I carefully carved little cracks into it and decided to turn the inside of the heart into something beautiful. The butterflies represent hopes, dreams and feelings that are hidden inside the heart.
